Provisional list of the Birds of Ngong Forest Sanctuary
The birds of Ngong Forest Sanctuary include birds characteristic of the indigenous dry evergreen forest of Nairobi, birds of the surrounding grasslands and gardens, and waterbirds flying over or seen at the dams of the Racecourse. This checklist is arranged according to the Check-list of the Birds of Kenya, EANHS, 3rd edition, 1996. It is based on the 1982 - 2002 records of the Wednesday Morning Birdwalks of Nature Kenya. List compiled by Fleur Ng’weno, Biodiversity Parks Project of Nature Kenya, with thanks to the Whitley Award Foundation.
